Our Commitment

Accessibility at Alpha Sentinel

Alpha Sentinel is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all users.

Standards

Conformance Goals

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone.

What we’re doing

  • Semantic HTML: We use proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and ARIA labels throughout our platform to support screen readers and assistive technologies.
  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements on our site are accessible via keyboard. You can navigate using Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, and Escape keys.
  • Color contrast: We maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text across our interface.
  • Alt text: We provide descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images and icons.
  • Focus indicators: Visible focus indicators are provided for all interactive elements when navigating via keyboard.
  • Responsive design: Our platform works across screen sizes and supports text resizing up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
  • Form labels: All form fields include associated labels and clear error messaging.

Known Limitations

Areas Under Improvement

We recognize that some areas of our platform may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. We are actively working to address the following:

  • Some dynamically generated chart and graph content may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We are working on providing text-based alternatives for all visual data representations.
  • Certain third-party embedded content (e.g., payment forms from Stripe) may have accessibility limitations outside our direct control. We work with our partners to improve these experiences.
  • Real-time alert notifications may not be immediately announced by all screen readers. We are implementing ARIA live regions to address this.

Assistive Technology

Compatibility

Alpha Sentinel is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
  • Screen magnification software
  • Voice recognition software
  • Keyboard-only navigation

Our platform is optimized for use with the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge browsers.
